Our head chef, Wanna, hails from Phetchabun, Thailand and has a passion for the traditional flavours of her hometown.

Growing up in Phetchabun, Wanna was surrounded by the vibrant and diverse street food scene and the rich flavours of Thai cuisine. From the fragrant lemongrass in her mother’s Tom Yum soup to the juicy green papaya in her father’s Som Tum salad, she was raised on the true taste of Thailand. When she moved to the UK, she was disappointed to find that most Thai restaurants here served watered-down versions of her favourite dishes, with ingredients swapped out for more locally available options.

That’s why Wanna decided to create Thai Cafe. Here, customers can enjoy the real flavours of Thailand, without any compromises. We go above and beyond to source the best Thai ingredients, from the tangy lime leaves in our Tom Yum soup to the fiery bird’s eye chili in our green curry. We use only the freshest green papaya, real Thai aubergines, and other authentic ingredients in our dishes, ensuring the taste and authenticity of Thailand is present in every bite.
